I found an importer selling pump it up for PS2, it says it's for korean ps2. will it also work on a japanese ps2, and do i need to buy it with the pad or can i use the ddr one (just won't look as pretty/customized).
actually this is 2 questions, cuz it looks like the game is bundled with the pad, but if it will work with the ddr one, then is there a way to buy the game alone?
thanks

DDR one won't work. Especially since it's missing a center button, I don't see the purpose of using one with it at all.

There is no Korean PS2, Koreans use the Japanese one (as specified on the box itself, "NTSC/J").

You CAN play the game without a pad (with just a standard DualShock controller), but it'd kind of defeat the purpose...it's like buying DDR without a pad. You could, but why?

Uhh no, older PC PIU's don't use USB, they use a special PS/2 keyboard piggyback box. The pad quality was also completely different than the USB one.

Maybe because YOU ALREADY HAVE A PAD E10.gifE10.gifE10.gifE10.gif This is why you see DDRs available outside the bundle.

Actually, the PC versions -do- support the USB pad. You get to select which you're using.

Actually, I think they use the Asian one, which has the same game encoding, but uses ~220V instead of ~110V, and I believe it also doesn't play Region 2 discs, playing Region 3 instead (being that it's for Korea and Hong Kong).

Uh well yeah but considering DDR pads are MUCH more widely available than the PIU one, especially 3rd party DDR pads...

What USB pad are you using and on which version? None of my versions sure as hell doesn't support the USB pad (except Prex 3).
