question about making a new account after youve been banned

It says here that is u make a new account after youve been banned, youll get banned again. my question is, if they get a different username, how would you know it was them?

It's called IP logging. It's when they log the IP of someone who was banned and ban someone with that same IP. They can (I think) ban an IP completely.

Yes, phpBB does IP bans.

I don't know why they wouldn't do that in the first place anyway, if ban evasion results in a ban.

if you want to ban someone for good you need to START with a level B subnet ban and go on from their

in the end though unless you ban teh entirity of the internet you cannot stop someone form getting back in

Its pretty obvious, escpecially when they only wanna come back to cause trouble. It only problems with banning IP's is that some people share computers for example Luvmuffin and Freak. Also people using public internet access would be a problem too, like colleges and universities.
