advertisement links?

Now, I'm aware that spyware/malware cuases this but I run programs that get rid of this stuff regularly yet whenever I'm on this site and I'm reading a keyword, that word becomes an advertisement.

For example - DDR becomes a link to a page selling the game. Is this a "feature" of the board to obtain revenue?

No, it's not spyware or malware. This is just a way for the forums to gain revenue. It's like a source of advertisement.

Whenever you post, you might have of included keywords that would be subject to hotlinking (green underlining) to a link. It's basically advertisements. If you put your cursor over it, it'll say stuff.

Alright, thank you. Since certain adware, spyware, and malware programs do the exact same thing, I was hoping I didn't have one of the aforementioned programs that just for some reason targetted this website. I don't mind DDR Freak making money, just making sure my computer is clean and this is happening to everyone. Thanks.
