Ah... Go*60*Go's Expert steps. Antonio said those were 1/52nd notes, but I'm unsure about that. That's a WEIRD amoun of time. And Phrekwenci actually probably made the best comment about those arrows to date:
"Pistachio notes" | They're 1/64th notes. It's a little bit of swing to the 1/16th rhythm, almost identical to if they were 1/24th notes. (5/64 is almost the same as 2/24th, do the math.) I like 'em, but a lot of people just say "I don't understand it? It must be dumb!" _________________

Something is awfully weird about this, methinks . |
I just played it again tonight on the Final version that the Break FINALLY got in.
My WTF meter spiked clean throguh the roof.
HUGE changes in the stepchart. The LRshift is gone (crossovers back and forth using only the Left and Right arrows: R1-L1-L2-R1-R2-L2-R2-R1-L2-L1-repeat), the section where you keep your left foot on R1 while the right goes pretty much everywhere is gone, and the patterns are WAAAAAAAAAY all over the place. The UD crossovers are still there, though, and the run near the end is still the same, I think. The difficulty on the song jumped a few tenths at least, though. This used to feel like it was a 10 only because it was a little gimmicky (as in, once you got used to it, it was MUCH easier than a 10), but now it's got a decent bit of nasty in it.
The bar is your friend. Especially for this. I won't even BEGIN to describe the crossovers. It deserves videotaping for proper description.
And Driven Doubles is going to be getting HUGE amounts of play from me now. I'm declaring it Caddywhompus 2.0 now. Which reminds me... I need to finish up Caddy 1.0 Intense. Damn. _________________

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Now that would have been fun, even if I would have sworn at the screen multiple times (like I did playing Renaissance). |

Damn. | Are the mods actually hard? The hardest thing about the first one (intense) was Pandmonium, unless you're playing on double. (double alternate = PAIN). Solina is weird at first, and Changes is tough to FC, but Pandemonium hard is out-and-out leg rape. I only barely passed that course, after FECing Da Roots and Solina, and getting two or three NCs on Changes...
So, I'm already excited about the interesting mods in Driven, but I'll have to see it to know if they're challenging. >:D _________________

I think it's safe to say that almost EVERY mod in the game except for the Turn mods (mirror, left, right, random, blender) is used. HUGE amounts of percentage mods. Alternate, Cross, and Split are all used at different points. Same with Robot, Flat, and Vivid. And Flip is on there for a while during Monolith (about 6 measures or so, I think). The combinations are so varied and strange that it SHOULD be somewhat challenging, and that's what I'm looking forward to.
And yes, I'm talking about Caddywhompus Doubles. That's been both my bread-and-butter and my bane as the same time. The Alternate part for Solina on Medium is my downfall. However, that's also one of my favorite parts when I play it on Normal. I've gotten 15 greats and one miss on it. I'm wanting to: a) FC it. b) SDG it. c) Star it. Of course, being at about 93% means the last will be a huge pain. But if I can get a 90+ while screwing around for the first 3 songs, I should be able to get a 95 being serious, I think. And from there, a star isn't that far off. _________________

"SE-WI"? Southeast Wisconsin? If you think a trip to Waukegan IL is within reasonable distance you might head to Player's Choice; they just installed an In The Groove 2 Dedicated Cabinet. |

Flip isn't in Monolith - or if it is, it's just one of those brief on/off deals to disorient. Might have been in One False Move, though ...? |

Monolith does have a brief on-off point where Flip is on (at the stop). One False Move makes you hit arrows while it's on for a short duration though. |
