If they weren't going to fix it, they could have at least done something to cover them up (animation, random color changes, SOMETHING.) Slow load times, especially when there's so little to actually load, seems like a major flaw in the coding to me. |

The load times are fine. Be glad that they at least did what DDR didn't and put in an unlock all songs and mods code. _________________

I see this a lot.
This is piss-poor reasoning, I'm sorry.
Whenever I play ITG I usually don't do straight rounds of difficult songs. I play a good variety of difficulties that don't kill my stamina, and I'm going to assume that a lot of players are similar. Thus there is no need for me to rest and get bored while waiting for the game to load.
In addition, if I was doing a hard set and I wanted to rest, I would just sit down for a couple minutes. 10 seconds is hardly going to put me at full stamina and I shouldn't plan my breaks to compensate for the loading times. If anything it'll just screw up my monentum. Besides, to take a break after a really hard song I usually just play a song that's slow and easier so I don't lose momentum but can have a nice break in the process. In addition, there is no excuse for the long loading between menu screens.
Saying that long loading is a good thing is just plain stupid. You people need to accept that these loading times are not to be encouraged at all and need to be fixed. Chances are with all the criticism about it, if ITG2 ever sees a CS release they will reduce the loading time, this is a good thing. _________________

First off, Ultramix has an unlock-all code. It was released shortly before the release of UM2.
The ITG code wasn't "released". It was discovered by people trying to extract data for other stuff. So, if they hadn't been doing that, your point about Roxor being better than Konami for releasing an unlock code would not stand. Since the discovery was a semi-random event, they didn't actually release it, which means they're in the same boat.
UM2 probably has an unlock code (since UM1 did) but nobody has discovered it yet. I suspect it'll be revealed in a month or two, since the UM3 release is pending. _________________

I believe the Konami code or the "Contra" code was the code that unlocks both UM1 and UM2. _________________

That was one of the first things people did when UM2 came out, and as expected, it didn't work. _________________

Gah, really? My friend unlocked all the songs with a code somehow, but I don't know he did it. I just assumed he did it with the Konami code like he did with UM1. _________________

Was the reason I didn't buy it. I absolutely cannot stand load times anymore, particularly not in a style of game whose main competition destroys them in this department. _________________

I'm not going to go through a minute of loading screens every time I fail a song. How am I supposed to get any progress if I spend half an hour by simply flipping through menus? _________________

Maybe you should work on not failing songs in the first place. Or you could just play on Practice Mode. _________________

It loads stepcharts for god's sake. If I pay for a 40 dollar game it better not have any bugs. Look at Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, it loads in-depth worlds in about the same time ITG loads arrows.... arrows. GTA is about 5-10 more than ITG. That's a problem in my eyes, sorry Roxxor you don't get my 40 bucks. |

See, THIS is the problem RO need to address for future games.
The loading times are annoying enough to discourage people from buying the game. Although this is not a substantial percentage, ITG needs every sale that it can get. Whether or not other people think this is a valid reason to not purchase doesn't matter, the potential buyer is the one that decides it in the end. In addition, with all the complaints, RO probably knows that if the loading times are just as bad in ITG2 people will just get pissed off and may lose a few more customers.
This is how the market works. People are dissatisfied with a product for whatever reason and thus the next batch tries to solve these problems. It's a good thing people are voicing their complaints for this. _________________

I never said they released it. That's why they're called easter eggs. It sparkles upon entering for a reason. And I forgot UM even existed but oh well. If I wanted to be cheap and back myself up I could say that 'Well, I was talking about PS2' Anyways, the load times are NOT THAT BAD. 5 seconds to load something is definately bearable. I think people should get over it and appreciate the fact that we finally got something challenging on the PS2. _________________
