I fail to see why.. it's an extra stage. It's just a bonus thing.
And spelling out a message like that through arrows, all while being on beat is nothing short of cool in my book.

anyone can make somethign too hard to pass but it takes work to get as close to that threshold as possible without crossing it

It's not meant to be passed, it's just a message.
Anyone who's out to pass it has delusions of grandeur: it can't be done. Andamiro sure don't expect it, I think they just offered the grading afterwards to be funny.
I really hope you don't use that as a criteria to judge the whole series by.
