Last I heard, Konami was planning to stop releasing home versions of DDR. Ok, that's f**ked up. So, let's petition. If we can get A signature (in this case, a post) including first name (not second, for security), city, and state from about half of the users of this site, that might be enough to sway their opinion. Please post below briefly supporting home DDR play. If we can get enough, I could find a way to pass this along to Konami.

Mine First: DDR has been my life so far, don't stop making fresh tunes; they'll go stale after a while. -Brandon; Dansville, MI

They use the site , but I know not all of them will sign the petition . You'll be lucky if you get over 20 signatures.

1. Not true.
2. Message boards are not the places for petitions.

Where did you hear that Konami is ceasing home editions?

Ultramix 2 has surpassed sales expectations (meaning, they broke even and even made more profit than they had planned). Plus they just released the 10th songpack on Xbox LIVE!, which generates more revenue for Konami.

I can't understand why they'd stop making something which is profitable.

It's probably some bull like that one person who said that butterfly was "Hidden in a U.S. DDR game".

I'd like some more home consoles... maybe something with Max (Period) or PARANOiA RESPECT, that would be good!

The bigger question is: Why got you thinking that Internet petitions work?

Banjo-tooie did that too. A sequel was never released.

Well, someone goofed up on their press releases prior to E3. Looks like there will be an ultramix 3... woo hoo.

google for ultramix 3 returns:

http://www.gamepro.com/microsoft/xbox/21899/info.shtml

Quote:
Dance Revolution ULTRAMIX 3 is the ultimate evolution of the revolution. Features: New, exclusive game modes only on Xbox, including "Freestyle Mode," "Quest Mode," "Jukebox Mode;" freestyle Mode allows newcomers to the series to dance just the way they want to any song in the game, while rewarding players for completing different combinations; Quest Mode lets players travel "virtually... from city to city and build the ultimate dance team by completing challenging songs and routines along the way; Jukebox Mode turns your Xbox into a music machine, allowing players to enjoy more than 65 tracks from the game; amazing song library with over 65 songs, including dance remixes exclusive for the Xbox; online tournaments, upload content, download new songs, via Xbox Live; compatible with all previous downloadable song packs on Xbox Live from DDR ULTRAMIX and DDR ULTRAMIX 2 - 60 downloadable songs in total; get in shape with the "Workout Mode" and customize your own dance steps in the "Edit Mode."

Phew. I have nothing to worry about now. E1.gif

Except getting my pre-order in prompt and early...

I'm still trying to figure out where mister_doublea got this idea that Konami is gonna stop making home versions. He just said, "he heard" and is now completely overreacting over this unconfirmed rumor. Seriously, mister_doublea, don't believe everything you hear.

Why should we care about more home mixes if we have ITG coming out and we have Stepmania?

GIVE ME SOME ARCADE MIXES AND I WILL BE HAPPY.

Ok, well it's clear that this thread is based off of no real evidence. Furthermore, there is evidence that proves the exact opposite of the OP is true.

The prosecution rests.

Case closed.
