What is a DWI!? And can anyone make me steps to a song?

I downloaded stepmania a week ago and have 40 songs right now that I love to play. Recently I added a song from my computer and I don't have steps for it. I wanted to create steps but I don't know how and I think it's related to DWI but I don't know what that is. Help would be greatly appreciated.

a .dwi is the actual file that has the stepfile to it.

A traditional stepfile (dwi) has 4 files in the folder:

mp3 file of the song
.dwi or .sm file for the stepfile
graphic for the banner
graphic for the background
