| I am having problems with Stepmania vs.3.9. I am very new to this so be patient. I can play it ok but then if I close out of reboot my pc. It wont open up again. Happends most of the time. I have to uninstall it and reinstall it. What can be the problem? |

I'm gonna assume by "if I close out of reboot my pc" you mean something like "when I close Stepmania I have to reboot my PC". After you close it, try pressing Ctrl+Alt+Delete to access the Windows Task Manager (assuming you're on Windows) and check under the Applications or Processes tab to see if any Stepmania related things are still running. If there are, select it and click "End Task" (if it's in the Applications tab) or "End Proccess" (if it's in the Processes tab). I have that problem with Halo: Combat Evolved on my PC...
If that doesn't work...I dunno...

| If I try and open it a lot of times it says another program is using it and it wont open. I dont understand what the problem can be? I wouldnt thing a corrupt song would do that?.....I have even deleted charaters and announcers to see if that would help and it dont. |

Little Mikie, do you see the post above yours? Did you try that? because it'll PROBABLY help! The problem is your Stepmania isn't closing out completely for some reason!
First off, try getting Stepmania 3.9 RC 2 ... it resolves alot of bugs from RC 1 and the Alpha series! You can download it here -
If you're STILL having the problem, try a fresh install of stepmania without ANY of your songs/dancers/other random crap and see if it still happens! If it doesn't, then it's one of those things you're adding on! If you're still having trouble... post a little more detail and we'd be glad to help you!

| By the way. Im not to little....hehehe....im 6'2" and about 250lb. I have tried control,alt, delete, to see if something is still runing but its not. I did do a fresh install by going into the regestry and deleting everything. When I reinstalled it it seemed to do ok with mix1 in it only. Then i installed all the other mixes and it does it. The funny thing is I will have to totally uninstall it through the regestry and then reinstall it for it to work again.....Sorry for being a pain. I really think I will like stepmania when I get it going right. |
