They're really two different styles of games, though. While IIDX is more about competition, Pop'n is one of those games that isn't competitive (for the most part - you don't see too many elitist Pop'n players ), and is just downright fun to play because of it. If you're more into competition and playing for insane amounts of practice time to get better than everyone else and declare bragging rights, than IIDX is your game. If you just want to play a game because it's fun, minus all the competitive drama, than Pop'n is right up your alley. _________________

I think I wanted II DX because I am bad at it and there is such a large fan base of people that post online and the whole VJ Army thing is pretty cool. I will probably just end up saving the money to build a pop'n controller while I whoop the crap out of 6th style. Remember, this thread was meant to help me decide which one I should get first, not just which one I should get period. And on another note I don't have to waste money on Initial D anymore because I got it at home, YAY for ps2cover.com!!!
Edit: I also think that I got the hang of four "columns" if you will with ddr, so I think I want to progress to 7 before I get to 9, I can't watch videos of pop'n music yet, they actually make my head hurt.. |
