no, pop'n came out stateside. I've played it. They took out like 3 songs (that were japanese) and changed several character names. It was basically just a port of Pop'n Music 1.
They've also done US releases of Guitar Freaks and Beatmania (Hiphopmania, hiphopmania Complete Mix 1 & 2) and localized Drummania and DDR up through 3rd Mix and Solo 2000 for the US. No one really knew about them and therefore didn't care.
They also released KBM Yamaha Edition, which I don't think is doing to hot either. So you can see why they're hesitant.
