|
|
I'm thinking about getting a Beatmania game. However, I have several questions and concerns...
1. Which should I get?
I'm a complete Beatmania noob, so should I get BMI or BMIIDX? If I get I, then do the Playstation 1 games go at 60 fps. Also, if I get IIDX, then I'll probably get 5th or 6th, depending on which songlist I like more, but which BMI game would I get if I got them?
2. Controller
There isn't an arcade wit any kind of Beatmania anywhere near me and no I know has any clue of what Beatmania is. So, should I get the cheap 40 some dollar controller from Red Octane or the good $99 controller from Toysnjoys? I don't have to worry about being the best at Beatmania, but can you still enjoy the game with a cheap controller? Or if I get BMI, then should I get the cheap, but good and BMI exclusive DJ Station Pro from Toysnjoys?
Any help would be most appreciated. _________________

Id go with IIDX simply because theyre making games for it again. Plus I like the look, feel, and songs of IIDX more. If you go with IIDX DO NOT get a Rave Disc man, the turntable is over sensitive, it breaks, and the buttons arent even the right shaped (circle instead of rectangle) get the official one off of playasia, gamebaz or toynsjoy. I started with 4th and 5th and found 5th to be perfect for me when I was beginning, I can't really rate 6th for home, but I like the songs from 6th more now from playing at the arcade. _________________

i'd go with BM because you are a newb (don't take it offensively, i don't mean anything by it), and it has many classics that i doubt will be reappearing anytime soon. _________________

I'd go with IIDX simply because there's (at least) one new game that's yet to come out for it. BM is obviously dead, as it has been for some time. _________________

I say IIDX. You can say that 5-key has many 'classic' songs, but that does not excuse the fact that IIDX songs, gameplay, and graphics utterly trump Beatmania 1's. |

IIDX for sure. Better music, more challenges and awesome videos mean more fun.
Go with 5th or 6th, it doesn't really matter. If you get hooked on it like so many of us do you'll probably be clamoring to buy the other styles asap _________________
