But 5th style is better. happy.gif

Why is 5th better?

Here is a lowdown...

3rd Style:

The cheapest with the most songs. You actually can learn to play on this game without the handicap of 5th and 6th's Beginner Mode. Since this is the early IIDX, it's got alot of easy songs. It's more hiphopish than the other styles though so it depends on you musical tastes.

4th:

If you can get this for any reasonable price, DO SO. There are very few repeats in 4th that you can only play on 4th. So, don't be upset at it's short tracklist which is great by the way, Jive Into the Night, Sana, Fantasy. I got 4th and 6th at the same time. I can tell you that I've never had a problem with 4th Style's difficulty. Sure, some songs are hard, but there are hard songs on every style. Buy with confidence.
5th:

A pretty good style and it has Beginner's Mode but so what? It's got a good mix of tracks too, Spin The Disc, Sync, Deadline.

6th:

See 5th, but it has the videos and gallery images to unlock.

Once you learn how to play the game, it really doesn't matter which style you pick up second or concurrently. You can learn how to play on any of the styles.

I always tell people to listen to the songs first, then buy the style that has the songs that YOU want to play. Even if you suck at the game at first trying to play a song you like, you'll be encouraged to get better because you like the songs. Don't buy a style because simply someone says "It's better." Better to me or them != better to you.

Just Jeff, you get free pop'n cupkakexors.

Ok, update, I got 3rd mix today, when I get my DVD burner to back up games, should I use DVD or a CD? I hear CD-R's fuck up your PS2, I don't know.

ALSO is it "legal" to buy backups of games if you own the original?

3rd style. Excellent choice.

The only minor problems I have with 3rd style are that it doesn't show Ex Score, neither does it save the songs passed. Also, the Hi-Speed. The HS2 in 3rd is like the HS3 in newer mixes, meaning that there's a huge gap between HS1 and HS2 in 3rd style. I'm used to HS2 (in 3rd) now so it's not much of a concern for me anymore. Otherwise, it's an awesome mix.

I don't see how CD-R's would harm a Playstation 2, but I think it would be better to use DVD-R's, considering all four CS styles are DVD-ROM.

I plan on semi completing my DDR collection. I want 5th 6th and 7th, not so sure about 4th, anyone disagree?

And then I'll move on to IIDX. 3rd is 50, 4th is 70, 5th is 70, 6th is 60, 7th is 60, controllers are 160. Arg, I need to get a job!

So I splurged and won an Ebay auction for 5th style. Total cost, including shipping, 72.99 via money order, then I pay for postage and all that goodness. FACK. down to 160, but what about the controller? ;_;

You prolly could have gotten 5th for cheaper than that. I woulda recommended going with a ransai + popn 8 or 9, but since you already bought 5th find a cheap controller from somewhere. gamebaz.com or play-asia.com maybe?

If youve got a soft pad that needs to be fixed just throw it away and get a new one.

I recommend DesktopArcade, especially since the kid lives in Jersey Mr. Hot Sig Pic Man.
