max1 no question...for a couple reasons max2 has no oni courses and the songs are just pretty boring compared to max1...sure max2 has so deep and maxX but thats about it when max1 has trip machine climax max300 candy* HVAM orion78 and more

I liked MAXUSA because, really, the songs were had better steps, and the nine footers were better and more plentiful. MAX2 had Nonstop and So Deep, but the songlist wasn't as interesting as MAX. PLus, MAX had a faster songlist that MAX2. Most of the songs in MAX2 were really slow.

As for Japanese releases, I liked Extreme a lot and I just got 5th Mix and I'm liking that. I also have MAX2Japan. I guess Extreme is the hands down winner but I'm having trouble over whether 5th or MAX2 is better. Probably MAX2 by a bit.

And why don't we move this to Consoles?

Max 1 rules. I was mad at Max 2 because it didn't have R&P. Instead of R&P, they'd rather have Days Go By. Wtf!

lunartic2007 is right. this should be in the console board. Probably there is a thread on this already. I understand you're new to the boards. E1.gif

While it is not exactly DDR, I love Stepmania... I have a DDR cabinet with stepmania... coin boxes work and everything...

The reason I like stepmania so much is because of the fact that you can add songs/animations/announcers, etc. at will.
