Help!! Character problems!!

I have no clue what to do to get the characters in stepmania to show up! Any suggestions? I have tried all the suggestions that were given in all the other character threads.

Well, first you have to have a seperate folder for them in the main Stepmania directory called "Characters" and second, just hold enter when you pick your song and pick your character on the options screen. If it still doesn't work, try going to the other options screen at the main screen and switch characters on.

Try downloading the newest version of Stepmania (3.9 alpha 7) if you haven't already. The characters weren't working for me before, but after installing the new version they work fine.

Yeah, thats what i did and now they work with alpha 7. I still don't know why it stopped working in alpha 6, but anyway....thanks for the help guys!
