new mode in stepmania alpha 5...

if you go to the right enough so that your in the oni/challenge/endless section, there is another mode to play..."MAGIC DANCE"!!! it has some disney characters on it. the problem is: it wont let you select it!!! I've tried every way to play; singles, doubles, versus, and couple and it wont work. does it work for anyone else?


and also, alpha 5 crashes like crazy, so dont remove your older version.
it has a "profile" thing too so you can have your own scores and stuff too, so wait until alpha 6 to actually play. can someone take a picture of it for me? my stepmania sux and crashes my whole computer.

Yeah, I've had a problem with that too. Dance magic is awesome with two people, yet it no longer works for me on alpha5. Just give me 4.0 without all these horrid bugs.

It works for me (using StepMania 3.9 alpha 5), I have the ddrPC dancers. All you do is play the game vs. the computer. Each dancers have different mods for the song. (ex. x2, hidden, and stuff like that) I'll give you a screen shot of it.

Then there is the battle, the more the combo the more you miss up the other player. Screen shots as follows:

wtf? I have been having this Magic Dance ever since CVS. I dunno, prolly it's that I had the theme for it at the time, but oh well, it is pretty cool. But how could you have problems? I don't have a problem with it, dunno why u do, but it's fun if you try it, mods change to hidden, reverse, and speed mods while playing a song. If you can get it working, try it out for yourself.

I modded some of my character.ini with stronger attacks.

Open a character.ini and change the strings after each line to names of modifiers you see in the Player Options screen. Rotations (left,right,mirror,shuffle,s.shuffle) don't work yet.

And by the way, 5a worked better for me than 4b, with the exception that songs with certain songs causing an access violation.
