I have several questions. First I would like to know if you get Dance Dance Revolution by Konami for the PC can you add songs to it? By either creating your own, or d/ling them, for free?
Second question I have is that I love DDR, but sometimes the songs get's old, and I'm not interested. So I'm going to use simluators to play DDR, because they are free and you can add songs to them for free also, even create your own. Though I have a promblem.
My computer is upstairs and my tv is downstairs. So I have to long cables in order to play it on my tv, which is what I want to do. So I figured out what I will do for the video and audio cables, but the pads themselves is where my promblem lies.
What I'm asking is will this set up work without any problems? This is how I'm going to set up it up:
Playstation to USB
USB to PS/2 (PS/2 Cable is 100 feet.)
PS/2 to USB (Then just plug it in the computer.)
First and formost will it actually work. Will the data be recieved as it's meant to be? Also how will the lag issues be? I'm primarly asking to see if anyone has done this, and can tell me some things, if not then I'll just have to try it on my own. |

Unfortunately you're stuck with the crappy DDR PC songs. You can't make or download songs.
I'm not quite sure what you mean by you're whole daisy chain of cords though, so I can't really be of too much help there. |

Thx for the info, i'm just goign to go with a simulator. Though what I mean with the daisy chain of cables is because my computer and tv are far from each other, and I don't think USB cables work after so many feet. So that's why I would have to do this set up. |

That setup would provide for plenty of inconvenience for you and others who use that computer. I'd say just buy a bigger moniter, but stomping is bad upstairs. I suggest you buy a used pc and one of those adaptors that lets you use the tv as a moniter. It doesn't take that much to run SM, so just get yourself a cd player, decent sound/video cards, and I'm sure the processor it comes with will be enough. As long as you don't load it up with too much other garbage (i.e. anything but the os and the sim), any hard drive you don't find in an antique shop will suffice. Edit your songs on the computer upstairs, burn them to a cd, load them, and you're in business. Hope this helped, good luck. _________________
