There are a few options in StepMania itself that can be toyed with that has to do with the axis or something. You can also try getting another driver. My friend reccomended one called blazepad.

i tried the website and it didnt help, but now that its working on SM, ive got a new problem

when i do a lump instead of it being normal, every time i try to step two arrows at the same time, it like, bounces i guess you could say back and forth and i cant do freeze jumps, totally gay, any way ro fix this really dumb problem?
