Usually only the final builds of Stepmania will support themes, I am sure an alpha version is not a final build. _________________

ANY releases support themes, just sometimes there could be errors
sometimes, you have to convert 3.0 themes to 4.0 format to make them work
also, you download the theme (.smzip file), and you double click on that file and it'll automataclly load the theme itself |

yeah the SMpackage thing you are referring to is how people make .smzip files. you use that app to make the .smzip file in case you decided to make a theme or announcer pack or anything really that would benefit from using the .smzip format. |

Ok, since when have the CVS builds been able to support themes? I could have swore there were problems with them. _________________

Well the max2 theme that came with it worked, so I know this one supports that one at the very least. _________________
