I was wondering what function the SMpackage does. My main problem is that I'm trying to add new themes to use on SM, and I know in some way that SMpackage is linked to the problems with my using new themes. So what I'm trying to get at is "How do I use SMpackage as a tool to unextract themes"? E19.gif

I'm trying to fiddle around with it a little more, but any comments are greatly appreciated.

Usually only the final builds of Stepmania will support themes, I am sure an alpha version is not a final build.

....
ANY releases support themes, just sometimes there could be errors
sometimes, you have to convert 3.0 themes to 4.0 format to make them work
also, you download the theme (.smzip file), and you double click on that file and it'll automataclly load the theme itself

yeah the SMpackage thing you are referring to is how people make .smzip files. you use that app to make the .smzip file in case you decided to make a theme or announcer pack or anything really that would benefit from using the .smzip format.

Problem is that it says I need the smpackage to extract the theme, so I use it to go from 3.0-4.0 but nothing happens. I go to the appearance section of options, I have the choice to select it, but nothing changes at all, so I know I'm doin something wrong. disgust.gif

Ok, since when have the CVS builds been able to support themes? I could have swore there were problems with them.

Well the max2 theme that came with it worked, so I know this one supports that one at the very least.
