i have not seen one good dwi by BMR, besides Afronoia, which isnt that good anyways. His A steps have nothing to do with the music, and the one song with the guy saying "funkebeet" in the background doesnt ever have the right BPM! why do you guy like him? taren, udder, and MJ OWN him! (not a flame, just seeing what you guys like about him) _________________

I personally like his stuff cause of the challenge, I can pass all his songs except Gravity(damn that song), but ever since Stepmania added the Quick transformation option I dont play his stuff as much rilly except Tommorow Perfume cuz that song is one of my favs^_^, most of his steps go with the song though in someway or another, in his version of A I think the steps go with the piano. BTW who is Taren, Udder, and MJ? _________________

The steps in A and V both go with the piano.. all of his "extreme" songs, like A, V, G2, Gravity etc go with the music perfectly and is very well synched... he is a really great dwi maker IMO, even is he does go a little over the top on voltage sometimes oO _________________

I'm sure if it was sold for profit, Konami would clamp down on it (I'm sure it's a matter of time before they clamp down on ITG).[/quote]

He usually does a pretty good job with his .dwi files, they're well-synched and thought out. Nothing of godly proportions or anything, but he's pretty damn good.
I personally think Udderdude/MJ and Taren are about even with him. Their styles are a little different, but the .dwi's are all solid. _________________

step one Take G2
step2: make a 1/4 notes
step3: put on clap assist
step4: listen.
WAY off beat. _________________

The assist ticks in Stepmania have a weird echo thats offbeat and the noise is different depending on practice mode or arcade.
Listen to DXY with the assist tick. _________________

I myself sometimes go back and forth over whether I like his steps, but one thing is undeniable. He has the most beautiful, most professional, most artistic backgrounds of any other dwi artist out there. Just look at Boomerang v2 from tournamix for example.....
I think G2 is on-beat, but I still hate it...sometings were just not meant to made that hard. It doesn't seem to me that the song itself calls for such difficulty. All of konami's songs (at least the 10 footers) scream to be made difficult, but I don't think the step difficulty matches with that particular song. |

Yea, Spiggy is the mad photoshopper (even though BMRs DWI quality went down when Spiggy started doing his artwork).
And the reason that BMRs songs go with the music... they're just IIDX key rips. Take V for example. In IIDX it goes bottom 4 keys to the top 3 keys on 8th notes. BMR's V it goes LR - DU - LR - DU or DL - UR - DL - UR jumps, which produces a similar effect. And also, he's too lazy to make his own trick and basic steps. He just auto-gens them in a BMS editor. Just play a round of Versus with auto-play on and watch how similar the steps are. |

I like some of his stuff. Carte Blanche is a favorite. I hardly like any of MJ/Udder's stuff. Some of Taren's is good, namely the IVKAS series.
Toxic Robot owns all of them any day of the week, seriously. _________________

I don't like *most of* BMRs stuff because it's totally impossible in real life, though Boomerang was a great file and showed that he really does have some talent, maybe he should try to make more "real" ddr songs, instead of having Beatmania craziness all the time.

Some of his DWI's are alright, like Tomorrow Perfume, but most are way too over-the-top. |

Isn't the solution when you find a song is too hard generally to play it on Standard instead of Heavy for a change? ^_-; _________________

G2 is sync'd correctly; my brother has it AAA'd.

Bullshit. The people who voted LoART so high completely missed the point of TournaMix, not to mention the fact that the Art series is a joke, both figuratively and literally.
And seriously, there's way harder stuff out there than BMR's DWI's. His are entirely doable on keyboard, some actually playable on pads, whereas some crap, like Cyanide 2600, is freaking insane, and not at all possible on pads. _________________

The whole point of my post was sarcasm . I loved Boomerang.
But the Art series is hillarious.

I enjoy V and Angelfalls because their patterns are not too tricky. G2 I can tolatate but stuff like Gravity and A are not possible(at least for me, obviously other people have done them and well too). I haven't tried all of his, I may get Tomorrow Perfume, but I'm kinda inbetween about BMR, some is fun-hard and others are insane-hard. |

I like all of BeMaNiRuler's DWI's. I remember playing DWI on someone else's computer once, and found I'm the Scatman and V...i thought V was the hardest thing ever though took me almost 3 months to pass it, having never played DWI before. Since then i've downloaded and played all his dwi's, and i like em. Same with pretty much every other original that doesnt suck. (Except supercletus, he is a dwi GOD...50 minute twinkle twinkle littler star )
G2 is perfectly on sync btw I've nearly AA'd it...always get misses in taht last run right before the end though. V = AA 2 greats, Gravity = C with obscene number of noncombo's ; Its not too tough, just takes practice and good pattern recognition.
If you think BeMaNiRuler's dwi's are too tough though, just play IIDX, you'll think they're easy. |

if you like bemani ruler because his steps are so damn hard, then you should check out a guy by the name of arch0wl, some of his songs are on bemanisims but the complete collection is at www.arch0wl.com/originals
now try payon or flight of the bumble bee rock guitar mix, they own bmr's difficulties anyday. _________________

unfortunately payon is retarded and the steps aren't even synched. bmr's steps are always synched to something, and while they may seem really hard sometimes, they really actually flow. some people think some of the 16th notes runs are impossible, but actually, they are very possible. sometimes, there are actually well placed pivots.
besides, they are meant to be done on the keyboard, at least most are, and they are not direct IIDX rips. except colors challenge pretty much. when i make dwi's, they usually come out IIDX like, even if it's not a IIDX song. like turkey march, i synched it to every sound, so some people thought it was like IVKAS, although it is very pad-able.
bmr puts lots of thought into his steps, and they are totally under-rated. if you want to make the hardest dwi, just open up notepad and type {426842684939137!61821!4!19!13791876642973197826479317!94899239619!74632291794697439731}. well, you get the point. kinda reminds of payon, no offense. but bmr's stuff makes total sense, with the exception of some of his earlier stuff (afronoia was a little off and i didnt like it, scatman was wierd at some parts, gravity i admit was over the top but still very possible on the keyboad, etc).
anyway, all im saying is there's no reason to flame bmr just cause his stuff is too hard. there's a reason he made his stuff hard: so people can have a nice challenge. plus, there were basic and trick for a lot of stuff. unfortunately, most people flamed his stuff and that's why he quit last year.
as for A, it's not impossible. the steps are actually very simple, just fast. as soon as i get a digital camera, ill get a video of me getting a AAA. im sick of people not believing me. ugh. _________________
