Since Konami really don't seem to want to prolong the death of the japanese series, I'd assume that along with DDR Extreme CS, it's a closure to the series. Either :
a) All the pre-max songs in the MAX engine
b) All the international licenses in the MAX engine
Either way, it's a must-have purchase, and an easy way to make another DDR game without having to spend anything on development costs.
From what I've seen from the recent japanese releases, I'm betting on Option A, since that requires no costs whatsoever. The latter requires a few expensive licenses, although most of the international licenses are on Dancemania CDs anyway.. |

That would be really cool to see, so I hope you're right. When I posted that news, all that was mentioned was the title and nothing more, but the show is right around the corner... should be cool to see what Konami's cooking up.

Hey, whenever I leech DWIs from Sakura on #DDRuk, I always see a folder for Dancing Stage Party Edition. Could there be a connection?
On a side note, inside the folder, there is:
After the Game
Can't Get You Out Of My Head
Don't Stop Movin'
My Favourite Game
The Bad Touch

I'm not even going to try and find words to describe how awesome I think GAF.com is. All websites should link to it by default

It's a UK port of DDR Konamix, with the aforementioned 5 licenses replacing the japanese songs, and some of the less-popular Club Mix songs.
My Favorite Game is notable, because it's blatantly based on a DWI of the same song, but besides that, they're all overly-easy and forgettable.
There's a point, actually. If it's a collection of international licenses, there aren't going to be any catas.. |

A little off-subjuect, but hear me out.
I think KOA has enough brains to realize that DDR is a HUGE market in the US, along with other Bemani games. Personally, I think that KOA will make a US edition of this, and include the same MAX engine as MAX2 will have, not to mention a few excellent songs.
But, my fellow DDRers, think about this:
Konami of Japan and Konami of America have several great DDR games coming soon, like DDRExtreme, MAX2 (although its already out in Japan ) Ultrramix, that one for XBox, and a few tohers, like this one, so I wouldn't pressure them to have it have a bunch of new songs, although I expect them too, but it is technically a collection, not a whole new game.
With that said....I leave. _________________

No new details but magic box posted this
Konami is working on a new PS2 dancing game called Dance Dance Revolution Party Collection, the game will feature a collection of popular party dancing tunes from the series.
So just from that little statement I don't think that many new songs (if any) will be on it. Just to same ol, same ol. _________________
