EDIT: Problem solved. Just needed a ps2 controller driver. Thanks Cristian989!

I know there are a lot of topics about adaptor problems, but I have looked at them and cannot find a solution to my problem. I bought an EMS USB Adaptor from RedOctane. I have Windows XP.

The drivers that came on the disk with the adaptor don't work. My Device Manager just has it under "Human Interface Devices" as a "USB Human Interface Device." The device status is "This device cannot start. (Code 10)".

I'm at my wits end... should I be searching more for other drivers to use? I've already unplugged and re-plugged it in... any advice, please?!

Update: When I restart my computer, it moves in the Device Manager from "Human Interface Devices" to "Other Devices" as just a "USB Device".

The status for it now is "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)". I can't install drivers because the ones on the disk don't work.... I know I'm sounding just like the total newbies that I hate who pester for dumb advice to their unique problems, but I don't know what else to try. You can try to im me on aim (sn: illumid) if you have any advice... =\ ?
