DDR is featured today in the comic strip For Better or For Worse, where April plays the game with a friend. Thanks to NESCartFanatic for pointing this out! _________________

Heh. I wish DDR machines looked like that! It looks like they've hooked up a DDR pad to a TC2/3 deluxe cabinet in that comic.
Yay for beginner's mode! |

I've mentioned it before but...
Is it just me or does the background on the screen look like the original Trip Machine background from first mix copied twice or is it just me? |

Is it just me or does the cartoon make no sense at all? |

TiVotj: nope, it makes no sence whatsoever.
well, about making the arcade machine look like that, it is possible if you make your own tin can revolution. or, is it possible to gut a ddr machine and still have it like that? like monitor wise?
a TCR *tin can rev* is your own case, your own pads, your own tv, your own PS2 or whatever inside of it, very hard to have a coin door on it lol _________________

April (the daughter) is one of the kids playing DDR. Her parents, outside the arcade, are waiting for her to come out. The Mom decides to go in after her.. and ends up taking a turn (or more) on the DDR machine.
It makes sense. It's not amazingly funny, but it follows.

If only the bar was like that. No intruders and you can maintain ur balance in a much better way (even though I seldom use the bar, it's still good). |

Random but cool...actually, I didn't even see the comic till just now but on Sunday my Aunt from Florida called me up at freakin' 10AM (early for me) to say, "Look sweetie that dance thing you like to play is on the front page of the comics today..hehe thought you'd be interested!!" I was too tired/half alert to really check it out... that link was really convenient, thanks fellas!

Wow! That's pretty cool! And yeah, that background does look like Trip Machine Climax. |

Well, it's got a middle panel, but only four arrows up on screen...unless perhaps it's got both 4- and 5-panel modes. |

I doubt the author was thinking "hey, maybe this game has a 5 panel option!" They were just making a "dance machine". It's got something in the middle. Don't overanalyze it. For the love of god, please don't overanalyze it. |

Considering that Lynn Johnson is in her 60's, and prolly hasn't done more with DDR than watched people play, I'm rather impressed. She even got the arrow positions right. o_o _________________
