hey folks, i just went to stepmania.com and went to downloads and i downloaded the "pump it up support"
Heres my question, how do i install it? when i double click it a wierd screen pops up and the one button says "play step mania" but when i click that, it brings me into SM with no changes

but what do i do with the "isntallation" file?
when i go to select game, the only thing there is "dance"

this is odd.....
I just downloaded a 4th mix announcer pack and the same screen comes up, the export package screen comes up
i have nothing to click but close, mkes no sense...

rename it to .zip and extrack it into your sm folder.... too simple to try something before posting ?? (its just because I hate helping people for..."stupid and easy" thing like that... try searching and try something before asking a question ..)

uh, wow... actually, i tried that. Then I searched the whole simulator forum. I didnt get good results, so then I actually checked the 3 pages of the DDR simulator forum. After those attempts, I posted here. Now, tell me something, since its so "stupid and easy" can you please explain why your suggestion of re-naming it as a .zip doesnt seem to be working for me.
Can i get a bit of help from people that are willing to take the time and help me?

IRT Joe,
Find the package program EXE in the SM folder, and try dragging the file onto it. See if what comes up is any different. |

I was jsut trying to help a bit because I got spare time... I was most frustrated because a stupid PC noob (not on thi post) that needed me for 1h at school.
But... if you renamed them into .zip and extrated them... its probaly the wrong file... or corumpted files. And/OR wrong name of the .smzip so its another "mod"

hmm, that package exporter icon still comes up
Mabey i have to change some stuff in stepmania?
