There are 5 machines in my area but I barely see anyone playing them. I have a feeling the owners are gonna get rid of the machines. I've thought aboutposting flyers about it at school and suff. ANY suggestions??? _________________
Call it DDR! Call it ITG! Either way, it still taste like chicken.
Konami created it (DDR), RoXoR perfected it (ITG), and we should all respect them equally. |

How about you just try to do some sick dance moves when playing on them? That usually draws a crowd and then people will start to want playing... |

I would try pulling some sweet moves, then when you get a crowd, try to get them to play, and maybe help them along a little bit. The more people you get to play on your DDR machines, the more chance a few of them might become addicted and play a lot. And if that happens, horray! you saved your DDR machines! _________________

Play the crap outta the game....
When we got our first machine around here about two years ago... NO ONE played.... me and my friend just played for like 3 hours straight everyday, and almost everyday, we'd get one person hooked.... just takes time to build a player base. _________________

What they said. If you start playing it, and you get to a point where you play relatively well, people will gather. Me, I was getting crowds when I was at five-footer level--well, Tubthumping excepted. (Then again, this was when the machine was fairly new.) Doubles seems to impress even more, at least over here.
Right now, we get a fairly steady stream of people at the DDR machine, and I think we're getting a larger draw now that it's seated right next to the Derby Owner's Club...uh...stadium. (Can't really be called a machine--you'll understand why if you ever get the chance to see it.) And it's fun. Haven't had overkill problems like Cinti seems to, but arcades here require that you be at least 16 to enter, so... _________________

Ah, Derby Owner's Club. Bless that game.
Yeah, that's a sure fire way to pull traffic. DDR for a workout, then plunk yer backside onto DOC to cool down. *heh* Only place I know like that is Milpitas Golfland out here. _________________
