You can't really say that is speed up or not. Sure it could have been written nice and fast, but that's the composer's choice. You can use any type of note in the time signature. i.e. For the same song, you could write "quarter note = 200 BPM" or "whole note = 50 BPM," and it would be played at the same speed. Burning Heat! is most likely written in 6/8 or 12/8 time, with the signature "dotted quarter = 166 BPM." (dotted quarter = 1.5x quarter note, or 3/8ths).
All that I've been saying about percussion versus tempo is what SOUNDS like the correct tempo. They could have put Be In My Paridise at 252 BPM, yes, but it the way the backbeat and percussion are set up it sounds like it's at 63 BPM. _________________

Well on MaxX unlimited the bpm changes unknowingly! I just looked at it now (on stepmania edit thing it says the bpm as it goes along) and at the long freeze arrow bits (on basic or whatever) it goes from 300 to 280 back to 300 ....I didn't know this until I looked now....
Legend of max is REALLY weird....at the long freeze it speeds up to 444 down to 333 222 111 stop 83
and while I'm here I might as well ask whats the rhythm to Holic? I'm so confused by it! is it 7 and a half beats per bar? is it 6 beats per bar? is it 4 and theres nothing wrong with it?...its just my brain not coping with it? WHAT IS IT!!! _________________

It starts out in 7/8. Basically three and one half beats per bar.
Count: 1 2 3 4-1 2 3 4-1 2 3 4-1... where "4-" is only one 1/8th note long, rather than one quarter.
After that, during the guitar portion, it switches to 7/4, which isn't too tough.
I count: 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 1... etc.
And then, for the ending, it switches to 4/4, so once you hit the "jump... jump... jump jump... jump... jump" you're home free. _________________

There is no one BPM to assign Max300 -- it all depends on the listener. When I listen to it, I feel it's more like 150 bpm but can see why others consider it 300 bpm.
Drop Out, however, is clearly a 130 bpm song. _________________

I swear, Orion.78 (Civilization Mix) can't be 200 BPM. I've played several songs that are also 200 BPM, and it just seems to be slightly faster. _________________

R5 (from IIDX) - 6/4 -> 2/4 (1 measure) -> 6/4 -> 4/4
R5 Another - 6/4 -> 2/4 (1 measure) -> 6/4 (1 measure) -> 36/4 (HOLY SHIT!) (6/7 of drumroll) -> 6/4 (1/7 of drumroll) -> 6/4 -> 4/4
The Least 100 sec: Mostly 4/4, but in 2 measures it's 3/4 |

I agree with the Drop Out thing. The Legend of Max sounds right cause I can hear a constant beat going in the background. When I first heard Orion (Civilization Mix) it didn't sound 200 to me at all, i thought it to be the same speed as Ameuro.
I agree, this whole time signature thing with measures and stuff is making my head hurt |

Why would someone consider Max 300 150 or even 75 what beat are the listening too. As for me I still feel the BPM is either determined by bass hits or how many times something or things classified as a beat are played. |

When I first played Drop Out, I didn't bother to read the BPM, and I thought it was a 130 BPM song.
MAX 300, on the other hand, definitely sounded like 300 BPM. No question about it. _________________

Well at my arcade Sakura says it goes up to 300 BPM but a lot of people say it goes to 320 BPM..................what one is it
and as for The Legend of Max it doesn't even have a BPM on my machine! It just flickers the numbers around and never stays in one place! Is this supposed to happen?
I'm thinking my arcade has a bootleg disc...............awww.............
