I need help, I did what the instructions said on the first page on the machine at the arcade I go to, but it wont open the secret options menu...we go into the main menu...highlight game options...hold down the service button and the player 1 down arrow...then he hit the player one start button and it hust goes into the game options menu...what do I need to do?

As everyone and their brother has said... make sure you are hitting the Service button, NOT the Test button. Service is the middle one (on an official machine).

I have some information about the last two unlock codes that were released.

I was at a local aracde of mine and they have Extreme but nothing was unlocked since they got it. Then they finally put in the second code that was released and everything was unlocked EXCEPT for the home version songs and course (#30).

So what I think is this:

I think there is a section of Komani that generate codes and one that posts them on the web, both seperate from each other. The people making the codes were sending then in just fine until they noticed a bug in the last one they were going to produce (the bug being, not unlocking #30) so they faxed out the right code before the wrong code was posted. Then the wrong code was posted (the alternative unlock code) but most machines had 1-30 unlocked so it didn't effect them.

Since no one has actually found the unlock codes stored on the game disc, my theory is that there's actually a decryption method on the disc that takes the code and translates it to a certain number, and if the number is between 1 and 30 then the game will unlock everything up to that number. Konami probably calculated the code for 1-29 by accident, released the code to those posting on the web, and then caught their mistake and released the right code...
